NEW Timber Feed Box

Our timber feed box is designed to make your life easier by having your layers pellets and corn close to your hen house.  The box looks attractive but, best of all, totally discourages rats by being stilted and having two galvanized feed bins with lids inside. 

The box is constructed using the same high quality, pressure treated softwood timber as our hen houses.  They can be stained or left natural and can also be painted to match your hen house.  The feed bins can each hold two 25kg bags.

We have designed these timber feeders to complement our hen houses and feed boxes. Our hens are able to feed in comfort, whatever the weather.  As the ends are enclosed it gives the birds shelter from driving wind and rain, whilst having both sides open it enables 8 – 10 hens (depending on size of breed) to feed at once.  As the feeder is built with 50mm x 50mm pressure treated timber, pheasants and greedy hens are unable to knock the feed tray over, as they do with traditional galvanized feeders.  One side of the roof is fully removable to allow easy access to the feed tray to fill it with grain and pellets.  The tray is also fully removable to enable you to clean it easily.  The feeders can be stained to a finish of your choice.

Chicken Run

We can provide panels to enable you to create your own chicken run for your hen house.  The panels are 8’ (width) x 6’ (height) and cost £50 per panel (+ VAT).  We recommend a minimum of 4 panels for a 3ft hen house and 6 panels for a 4ft house.  The runs are made using pressure treated 50mm x 50mm timber inserted with chicken wire.  Each set of panels will include a panel with a door which can be bolted.  If you require different size panels we can make them to your own specification – please call us with your requirements.
